PoL Nick has been adopted.

PoL Nick Stats:
Breed: Lab mix
Age: About 10 months
Weight: ~50lbs
Personality: Driven and holding his own with Mals
Drive: Will tend to be a handfull and is a typical lab.

PoL Nicolas was part of the PAWS prison program with the Des Moines Animal Rescue League.  After finishing that program he was returned to the pound.  However, he's the first puppy that they didn't cry when he left, they were glad to see him go because he is so rambunctious and busy.  Nic was evaluated by a PoL K9 Evaluator and found to have tons of ball drive and overall a great candidate. 
Unfortunately PoL did not have a foster home available for him so he remained at the ARL.  We received a phone call a few days later letting us know that unless we found him a foster home, the ARL was going to put him down because he would make a poor house pet.  Luckily, Mike Wiederhold, PoL trainer, was in Iowa for K9 certifications and took him back to AZ.  Nic is currently living with Mike and over 5 Malinios and holding his own. 

Nic is fearless, doesn’t realize he should not be on certain furniture, plays tug with the other dogs and has immense amounts of energy and ball drive.
